As someone that has a laptop without a camera, an external camera is very useful. All you need to do is plug it in, set it on top of your laptop, and you’re done. I’ve compiled a list of external cameras that are cheap and work tremendously well.
#1: Logitech B500 1.3 Mp Webcam Wb
This webcam is very durable and doesn’t break easily, even maintaining itself seven years after its original purchase. The image, video, and audio quality are clear as day. Along with these things, this camera also has a privacy shutter, which some external cameras don’t have
.This webcam costs anywhere from $14 on Amazon to $17 on eBay to $37 to $46 on Sears. After that, it costs $61 on the Walmart site.
#2: Logitech C310
This webcam focuses on the person in the photo or video, which would be you, and provides plenty of lighting, thus illuminating you in the very best light possible. Image and audio quality are very good as well.
This camera has a price range of $27 to $49. On Amazon, Staples, and Dell, it costs from $27 to $29, whereas on the Logitech website, it costs $49.
#3: Ausdom AW615 Webcam
The lens is wide. The audio quality of this camera works extremely well, even dulling noise in the background and minimizing it, and image quality is extraordinary. There is also little to no grain even in dimly lit settings, and the image quality is sharper than most webcams.
This camera has a price range of $23 from eBay, $25 from Walmart, to $34 from Target and $39 from Amazon. On Walmart, it’s $57, but I would strongly suggest checking out the other sites first as they have lower prices.
#4: Logitech C505 Webcam
The audio is top-notch and clear, and can even pick up audio from across the room. The image and video quality is great as well, and it focuses on your face when in an image or a video. It’s secure on top of your computer. It also has great performance and a long cable.
It costs $34 on Amazon.
#5: WFFOIFL Webcam
It has a sliding cover in order to protect your privacy. It also has a 1080P wide angle with a 360 rotation, plus it reduces noise! Along with this, it has a low light correction. The audio is known to be listed in between “okay” “good,” and some users report the speakers and audio as not being the best. The image quality works great. However, with this camera, I would say that it’s a hit or a miss.
